DACS Non-Composite decks are used when only a form for a concrete slab is desired. Our three non-composite decks are "S" deck, or commonly known a "form deck" or 9/16" form, "HD" or 7/8" and B-deck inverted. Similar to composite deck, the determining factors for selecting the proper non-composite deck is the depth of the slab, the weight of the concrete (normal weight or lightweight) and the support spacing.

Unlike composite deck, selection of non-composite deck is not determined by the uniform load being supported, since in a non-composite application the deck is only used as a form for the concrete and not for positive reinforcement.

TYPE "S"
(Standard Form Deck)
Standard form is used
when a non-composite
slab is required and
the clear span is short.
TYPE "HD"
(Heavy Duty Form Deck)
Heavy duty form deck is
used when the spans and loads exceed the capability of standard form deck.
TYPE "BI"
(Inverted Form Deck)
Type "B" inverted form deck is used when the spans and loads exceed the capability of standard and heavy duty form decks.
